"I sent them a 5-axis bracket with a tolerance call we'd struggled to hit elsewhere. They responded with the DFM note, the quote, and the first article all within a week. First article was on the high side of the tolerance band by 0.0001". They re-cut it without being asked. That's the standard I want."
What customers say after the parts ship.
We ask every customer for feedback after their first order — and again after every fifth order. Below are real responses, edited only for length and to remove customer-identifying details where NDAs apply. Some customers allow their names, most don't.
"We moved a legacy program to Precision Edge after three straight quarters of missed deliveries from our previous shop. First month: on-time. Second month: on-time. Twelve months in: still on-time, every single delivery. The parts are right, the paperwork is right, and they call us before we have to call them. That's the whole job."
"We build surgical instruments in low volumes with a lot of design iteration. Precision Edge has been our prototype shop for two years now and they've never made us feel like a small account. Every revision comes back with the same quality and the same care as the first."
"ITAR compliance and documentation were the deciding factors. Their quality team understood the DFARS specialty metals reporting requirements without needing a tutorial, and the FAI packages were formatted exactly the way our prime expected them. Zero rework on the paperwork side."
"We needed a NACE-compliant valve body in Inconel 718 in under three weeks. Every other shop we called said six. They machined it, passivated it, and shipped it in eighteen days. The part has been in service for eleven months without an issue."
"Our line went down on a Thursday night because of a worn gripper jaw. We sent the part file, they quoted it in the morning, and we had replacements in our hands Saturday afternoon. That response time saved us well over six figures in lost production."
"We ran a first article through them on a titanium housing that had defeated two other shops. Their DFM review flagged a corner radius we hadn't thought through. Change it, they said. We did. Part ran clean the first time. That conversation alone saved us a month."
"Documentation was complete on every order, filed correctly, and available the moment we needed it during a customer audit. That's not a small thing in our industry. Our quality manager specifically said this was the cleanest supplier file she'd seen all year."
"Our engineering team is small, and we don't have a dedicated supply chain manager. Precision Edge has effectively become our machining partner of record. They remember the parts, they remember the revisions, and they don't make us re-explain ourselves every time we call."
"We asked for a facility tour before we placed our first order. They welcomed us, walked us through the shop, showed us the inspection room, and answered every question we had about ITAR handling. We signed an NDA the same week. That kind of transparency is hard to find."
Three programs, three outcomes.
Anonymized but real. Names withheld where NDAs require it, but the numbers are what shipped.
Legacy program transfer from a failed supplier
A Tier 1 aerospace supplier needed to transfer a mature program after their previous shop missed three consecutive deliveries. We built dedicated tooling, ran FAI on the first article of every part number, and took over the full program in 30 days.
Prototype-to-production for a surgical instrument
A medical device company came to us with a surgical handle design that had gone through four iterations at another shop without converging. We ran five more revisions over six weeks, then transitioned the design to bridge production for their clinical trial build.
Emergency downhole valve body for a Gulf Coast operator
A Gulf Coast operator had a stuck valve body on a wellhead and no spare on hand. We received the drawing Thursday evening, quoted Friday morning, machined in Inconel 718 with NACE compliance, and shipped by Tuesday. The well was back in service the following week.
Wear-part replacement for an automation integrator
A robotics integrator with 200+ deployed units needed a recurring supply of a specific gripper jaw that was wearing out faster than expected. We redesigned the geometry with a stress-relieved radius, changed material from aluminum to 4140 pre-hard, and set up a quarterly blanket order.
What the feedback adds up to.
Why so many reviews are anonymized
Most of our customers work under NDAs that prohibit public disclosure of their supplier relationships, part designs, or program details. We respect that, and we don't publish customer names without explicit written permission. If you'd like to speak with a reference in your specific industry before you place an order, just ask — we'll arrange a direct introduction under NDA.
