6061-T6
The workhorse alloy for fixtures, brackets, and housings. Excellent machinability, weldability, and corrosion resistance. Widely available in plate and bar.
We stock or source over 40 grades of metal and engineering plastic — from everyday 6061 aluminum to Inconel 718 and PEEK. Below is a working guide to what we machine, what tolerance you can hold, and how we finish it.
The workhorse alloy for fixtures, brackets, and housings. Excellent machinability, weldability, and corrosion resistance. Widely available in plate and bar.
Zinc-alloyed aluminum with tensile strength comparable to mild steel. Common in aerospace structural parts, bicycle components, and high-load tooling.
High fatigue resistance and excellent strength-to-weight ratio. Favored for aircraft skins, rivets, and parts requiring high cycle performance.
Corrosion-resistant and easily formed. Standard choice for food processing, chemical handling, and general-purpose industrial parts.
High strength, excellent corrosion resistance, and good toughness. Common for valve bodies, pump shafts, and aerospace fittings.
Wear-resistant and dimensionally stable after heat treatment. Used for dies, punches, and high-wear tooling components.
The most widely used titanium alloy. High strength, low weight, and excellent corrosion resistance — the standard for aerospace and medical implants.
High-temperature strength and oxidation resistance up to 1300°F. Used in turbine components, rocket engine parts, and high-temp fasteners.
Exceptional resistance to aggressive chemical environments. Common in chemical processing, pollution control, and marine hardware.
High-performance thermoplastic with excellent chemical and thermal resistance. Used in medical devices, semiconductor tooling, and aerospace seals.
Low friction, high stiffness, and excellent dimensional stability. Ideal for gears, bushings, and precision mechanical components.
Self-lubricating, chemically inert, and impact-resistant. Used for wear pads, seals, and chemical handling components.
High electrical and thermal conductivity. Standard for bus bars, electrodes, and heat exchangers in electrical equipment.
Best machinability of any copper alloy. Common for fittings, valves, connectors, and precision turned parts.
High load capacity and excellent wear resistance. Standard for sleeve bearings, bushings, and worm gears.
